Visions emphasize the tension between the present and what is possible, motivating people to support change. Establishing a North Star shows people why change is needed, whether it’s a new strategy, new funding, or new hires. You are already doing this, but we’ll help you polish it.
Imagining that better state is only the first step. It is essential to communicate your vision so that people trust your reasoning and feel an urgency to help make it happen.
This workshop is a way to dive into the vision section of the Design Leadership Profile. We will distinguish between dream, vision, strategy, and roadmap. We’ll discuss what it means to be visionary, how the most influential proposals describe the current state, what’s not working, and offer a better way forward.
Attendees will come away with a framework for thinking through and communicating design visions in a way that connects to business stakeholders.
This workshop is for all levels and roles.
