Mia Blume is the CEO of Design Dept. and Design Executive Coach.

Mia holds a safe space for executives to explore ideas, challenge assumptions, and find bold perspective and action. As a coach, she has helped many women move from craft leadership into executive roles. Coaching, in Mia’s experience, helps people solve their own problems in a way that is deeply empowering and has lasting impact.

As the founder and CEO of Design Dept. and former design leader at Pinterest, Square, and IDEO, Mia’s work is informed by a deep understanding of the position of creative leaders at high-growth technology companies. She believes that when a designer unlocks their authentic leadership style, it impacts not only individuals and teams, but the products, services, and organizations that shape our world.
